  72. Thanks for your interest in CMFiler!  It is a product acclaimed by the
  73. media and users alike for the completeness of its file and disk
  74. services, ease of use, small size and lightning speed.  Users regularly
  75. write me that they have replaced their copy of XTreeGold, PC Tools or
  76. Norton Utilities with CMFiler for most of their file management tasks.

  78. This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  79. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed
  80. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form,
  81. and is more easily read after installation.

  83. CMFiler is a shareware program written by an author member of the Associ.
  84. ation of Shareware Professionals.  This evaluation version includes all
  85. features of the program, and is NOT CRIPPLED IN ANY WAY.  You may use it
  86. for up to 60 days, without charge.  If you like the program, and wish to
  87. continue its use after this evaluation period, you are required to pay
  88. for the program (see the file ORDER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you

  124. CMFiler requires no special installation procedure.  After decompressing
  125. the file set, simply copy the files CMFILER.COM and CMFILER.OVY (the
  126. main program and its overlay) to the directory from which you wish to
  127. run it, select that directory, and type CMFILER at the DOS prompt.

  129. Or, if you prefer, a batch file INSTALL.BAT is provided in the fileset
  130. which creates the directory \CF602 on the drive of your choice, and
  131. copies the files to it.  It also copies the file CF.BAT to the root of
  132. that drive. You should be able to simply type CF at the DOS prompt and
  133. run CMFiler.  INSTALL.BAT also includes instructions for adding CMFiler
  134. to a Windows 3.1 program group or Windows 95 program folder.

  139. The shareware edition of CMFiler is fully functional and is equivalent
  140. to the registered edition, in order that prospective registrants may
  141. evaluate the program in its fullest implementation.  The shareware
  142. edition is not crippled in any fashion, but does contain usage-sensitive
  143. registration reminder screens.  These screens are easily dispatched,
  144. and in no way indicate or signal any loss of function or capability.

  146. CMFiler has exhibited stable, reliable operation on a variety of
  147. IBM-compatible PC systems, and NoVaSoft has established a reputation for
  148. quickly fixing bugs and implementing user suggestions for improvements.
  149. Copies of CMFiler are running stably in all versions of MS-DOS down to
  150. 3.3, PC-DOS, DR-DOS and Novell DOS, Novell NetWare OS, Windows 3.1 and
  151. 95, and OS/2.
